Medicare bulk billing is when a healthcare provider bills Medicare directly and accepts the Medicare benefit as full payment for the service, so the patient usually has no out-of-pocket cost at the time of the visit.
Medicare Easyclaim is a digital claiming channel that lets practices submit Medicare bulk bill and patient claims through an Easyclaim-enabled EFTPOS machine or an integrated practice management system (PMS).
Medicare Online is a claims channel used by practices to lodge Medicare claims through their PMS or a connected online claiming workflow, like Tyro Health Online, including bulk bill claims.
Assignment of Benefit (AoB) is important because it is the patient’s agreement that allows Medicare to pay the provider directly for a bulk billed service.
These terms and conditions govern this offer of 6 months’ free terminal rental on Tyro EFTPOS terminals (Offer).
This Offer is available between 18 June 2026 at 9:00am (Sydney time) and 18 December 2026 at 5:00pm (Sydney time) (Offer Period).
These terms and conditions are to be read in conjunction with the Tyro Terms and Conditions. If these terms and conditions are inconsistent with the Tyro Terms and Conditions, the Tyro Terms and Conditions prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
Capitalised terms in this Offer have the meaning given to them in the Tyro Terms and Conditions unless otherwise defined in this Offer. ‘you’ and ‘your’ and ‘Merchant’ means the person(s) who apply for, and are provided with, Tyro Services.
To be eligible for this Offer, all of the following criteria must be met (Eligibility Criteria):
– you have been invited by Tyro to take up this Offer;
– you have applied for an Electronic Payment Facility via Tyro Health’s AoB landing page and mentioned the AoB campaign to Tyro’s sales team;
– you must not have been a Merchant with Tyro within the six (6) months prior to the start of the Offer Period;
– you must not be part of a franchise, or corporate group;
– you must not have already received an offer or discounted rate on terminal rental; and
– your Application must not be for a location or terminal related to an existing MID.
Tyro may, in its sole discretion, determine whether or not the Eligibility Criteria are met.
This Offer only applies to Tyro EFTPOS terminals (excluding Tyro BYO) issued under the Applications which meet the Eligibility Criteria and is not applicable in conjunction with any other Tyro offer.
We will apply your 6 months’ free terminal rental by not charging you the EFTPOS machine rental fees that would ordinarily be payable on your monthly invoice.
Tyro reserves the right to extend or withdraw this Offer at any time at its sole discretion. If Tyro withdraws the Offer, Tyro will honour the Offer in respect of all persons that have their Applications approved by Tyro before the Offer is withdrawn, provided the Applicants satisfy all of the Eligibility Criteria.
